Two organisations. Distinct responsibilities.
CrisisConnect Network CIC and CrisisConnect Limited work alongside each other as separate legal organisations.
CrisisConnect Network CIC
The CIC builds and supports a community-led network: relationships between services, collaboration, referrals, resource sharing and Help Is Near. It works with community organisations, councils and partners on shared local priorities.
We intend participating community organisation founders and leaders to have a meaningful role in governance. The form of that role and any board appointments remain to be agreed and formally established.
CrisisConnect Limited
The separate commercial company designs, builds, owns, operates and commercially develops the CrisisConnect technology. It contracts for software subscriptions and technical services.
Membership is a community relationship
Joining or participating in the Network does not mean buying CrisisConnect software. Some ways of working may use the platform and have separate terms and costs; participation and technology purchasing are distinct decisions. We will explain any specific requirements before an organisation commits.
Managing overlapping interests
Adam is a founder and director of both organisations. Where a CIC financial or commercial decision involves CrisisConnect Limited, Adam must declare his interest, leave the discussion and take no part in the decision. Unconflicted directors handle that decision, subject to the CIC’s Articles and applicable law. Other conflicts will be handled under the same governing framework.
This describes the intended decision process; it does not imply that a particular board composition or member governance structure has already been put in place.
