Member story · Lets Tech Together

Turning donated technology into community resources.

Lets Tech Together runs Pass IT On: donated equipment is assessed, prepared for reuse and put back into communities. As a Network member, it can also make ready-to-go equipment visible to every other member organisation.

Inside Lets Tech Together

From donation to ready for reuse.

Pass IT On takes donated technology through the practical work needed to get useful equipment ready for another community organisation.

01

Donated

Equipment arrives from individuals, businesses and partners.

02

Assess & prepare

Useful devices are checked, cleaned and prepared for reuse.

03

PAT test where needed

Electrical equipment is tested where appropriate before redistribution.

04

Ready in warehouseConnect

Ready-to-go equipment is tracked and can be marked as available to the Network.

That's where the Network takes over

Available here. Needed somewhere else.

warehouseConnect knows what is ready to leave the organisation. Once a member makes that stock available to the Network, networkConnect makes it visible and searchable to every member.

Every member can search and request available Network stock completely as part of Network membership.

The Network journey

Make available. Search. Request. Reuse.

The preparation happens inside the member organisation. These are the four steps the Network adds.

01

Make available

A member marks ready stock as available to the Network.

02

Search

Every member can search shared stock to see what is available.

03

Request

A member requests the stock it needs through the Network, as part of Network membership.

04

Reuse

The equipment moves back into community use instead of sitting on a shelf.

A practical example

A community organisation needs six laptops.

Instead of buying them immediately or ringing around to see who might have something suitable, the organisation searches the Network.

If Lets Tech Together — or another member — has suitable refurbished devices available, the organisation can find them and request them through the Network.

Useful equipment moves from where it is available to where it can make a difference.

More than equipment

This is what a connected network can unlock.

One member may have equipment. Another may have specialist support, volunteers, space, knowledge or a route into a community.

Share resources

Make useful resources visible beyond the organisation holding them.

Connect needs

Help organisations find support and resources elsewhere in the Network.

Shape what comes next

Real operational experience helps identify future needs, collaboration and technology.

Have something to share — or something your community needs?

Bring your organisation into the Network and make useful resources easier to find.
