CrisisConnect Network CIC is a Community Interest Company registered in England and Wales (Company No: 17238435). We support the CrisisConnect network — helping community organisations participate, collaborate and develop shared priorities.

For the purposes of UK GDPR, CrisisConnect Network CIC is the data controller for data collected through this website.

2. What data we collect on this website

This website collects minimal personal data. We collect information only when you actively provide it through our contact or registration forms:

  • Name and contact details (email address, phone number if provided)
  • Organisation name and type
  • Location (town and county)
  • Information you provide in free-text fields about your organisation and interests

We do not use analytics cookies, tracking pixels, or any third-party analytics tools on this website. No cookie consent banner is required because we do not use non-essential cookies.

3. How we use your data

We use the information you submit to:

  • Respond to your enquiry or registration
  • Discuss how CrisisConnect might work for your organisation
  • Keep you informed about the network if you've requested updates

Our lawful basis for processing this data is legitimate interests (responding to your enquiry) and, where you've signed up for updates, consent.

4. Data sharing

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with third parties for marketing purposes.

We may share information with CrisisConnect Limited where you have expressed interest in platform access, as the Limited company manages platform subscriptions. We will make this clear at the point of contact.

We use a form handling service to receive form submissions. Formspree. This service processes data on our behalf and is bound by a data processing agreement.

5. Data retention

We retain contact and registration enquiries for 2 years from the date of submission, or until you ask us to delete them, whichever comes first. If you join the network, your organisational data is retained for the duration of your membership plus 2 years.

6. Your rights under UK GDPR

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Object to processing based on legitimate interests
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
  • Lodge a complaint with the ICO (ico.org.uk)

7. The CrisisConnect platform

This privacy policy covers this website only. The CrisisConnect platform (at app.crisisconnect.uk) is operated by CrisisConnect Limited and has a separate privacy policy. If you are a platform user, please refer to the privacy policy within the platform.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of the page reflects when it was last updated. Significant changes will be communicated to network members by email.
