CrisisConnect Network CIC is a Community Interest Company registered in England and Wales (Company No: 17238435). We operate the CrisisConnect Network and Help Is Near, helping organisations collaborate and people find support.
For the purposes of UK GDPR, CrisisConnect Network CIC is the data controller for data collected through this website.

2. What data we collect on this website
This website collects minimal personal data. Information you provide through our contact or registration forms includes:
- Name and contact details (email address, phone number if provided)
- Organisation name and type
- Location (town and county)
- Information you provide in open text fields about your organisation and interests
This website loads fonts and icons from external providers, whose servers receive connection information when these resources load.
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use this website. Its cookies are optional and are only set if you click Accept on our cookie banner. They collect information about page views, visit length and where visitors came from, and do not identify you personally. The cookies are _ga and _ga_NNPY2SN1Z2, and they last up to 2 years.
If you reject analytics cookies, or do not make a choice, none are set. Google may still receive a basic, signal without cookies that a page was viewed, which it uses to estimate overall visitor numbers without identifying you. Your choice is remembered in your browser (as ccn_consent, stored in local storage rather than as a cookie) so we do not ask again on every page.

3. How we use your data
We use the information you submit to:

- Discuss how CrisisConnect might work for your organisation

Our lawful basis for processing this data is legitimate interests (responding to your enquiry) and, where you've signed up for updates, consent.
4. Data sharing
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with third parties for marketing purposes.
We may share information with CrisisConnect Limited where you have expressed interest in platform access, as the Limited company manages platform subscriptions. We will make this clear at the point of contact.
We use a form handling service to receive form submissions. Formspree. This service processes data on our behalf and is bound by a data processing agreement.
5. Data retention
We retain contact and registration enquiries for 2 years from the date of submission, or until you ask us to delete them, whichever comes first. If you join the network, your organisational data is retained for the duration of your membership plus 2 years.
6. Your rights under UK GDPR
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to processing based on legitimate interests
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
- Lodge a complaint with the ICO (ico.org.uk)

7. The CrisisConnect platform
This privacy policy covers this website only. The CrisisConnect platform (at app.crisisconnect.uk) is operated by CrisisConnect Limited and has a separate privacy policy. If you are a platform user, please refer to the privacy policy within the platform.

Help Is Near is operated by CrisisConnect Network CIC and powered by CrisisConnect. This notice covers the CIC information website; please read the privacy information on Help Is Near for that service.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of the page reflects when it was last updated. Significant changes will be communicated to network members by email.
